On the weekend I created the prosthetics, special effects makeup, natural-glam female makeup/hairstyles and the anti-shine male makeup for the Deakin University student horror film "Cry Baby, Cry" by Wildcard Films.
This was the first time I have worked on a film and I had not previously met any of the cast or crew.
I worked from 8:30am to 9pm on Saturday, and from 4pm to 7:30pm on Sunday.
I did not get paid, however I did get fully reimbursed for the materials I purchased/used, I was able to take as many photos as I wanted for my portfolio, I was accredited for the makeup and hair styling and I am getting sent out a DVD of the film once it has been edited which I can also use for my portfolio.
The cast and crew were thoroughly impressed with the looks I created and have asked me to work on their next upcoming films.
